Our Concealed Carry Course consists of a Powerpoint presentation, films, lecture, and class participation. We use regional news and personal stories and experiences to bring a point/counterpoint to the use of concealed weapons.
we'll leave our badges at the door and speak as your personal firearms instructor, relating how to:

*Protect yourself and your family at home
*Properly use the firearm in a variety of situations.
*Deal with the terror and aftermath of a shooting
*Best protect yourself and your assets from criminal and
civil prosecution in the event of a shooting
*Talk to the police during a routine traffic stop as
well as after the use of the weapon.

Questions from the group are encouraged, either during the class or during the breaks. After a quick test, we'll drive out to the range after a safety briefing. Lining up 5 to 10 students, we'll fire the first 50 rounds, while instructors fine-tune the shooters style.

Then, the qualification test is conducted using 20 rounds. When we are done shooting, the certificates are presented, and your free to rejoin the family and enjoy the countryside or head home.

MEET THE INSTRUCTORS:

1. Ray McDowell: Ray is an Operation Desert Storm veteran of the U.S. Army. Ray has been a police officer since 1992, and a certified NRA Police Firearms instructor since 2002. In addition, Ray is an instructor in Hunters Education and martial arts.

2. Dan Terry: Dan is a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and has been a police officer since 1986. He has been a certified police instrucor in Batons, empty-hand fighting, and mace. In 1989, Dan became certified as a police handgun instructor by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. In 2002, he was certified as a police handgun instructor by the FBI, and in 2003 he was certified as a civilian handgun instructor by the NRA. In addition, Dan has taken week-long courses in Handgun Combat by the Highway Patrol.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

You should bring the handgun you intend to carry with you. Green Light Training has a LIMITED number of .22 caliber handguns we can lend you, if your handgun isn't in yet, or you can't decide what type of gun you may prefer.

You'll also need a minimum of 70 rounds of ammunition. We suggest name brand ammo and prefer cheaper round-ball ammo to hollowpoints on the range.

If you have your own ear and eye protection, you may be more comfortable with those. We do keep plenty of that on hand, along with the state required B-24 targets.

Other than that, just your good attitude is all we need!!
